I'm taking on Race Across the UK 2026 to support the incredible work of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity!

This October, my team will be racing from Dartmouth to Inverness travelling only by public transport and our own two feet. No shortcuts, no map apps - just quick thinking, grit, and a whole lot of determination as we chase down mystery checkpoints and take on epic challenges making our way to the finish.

But this adventure is about far more than the challenge. We’re raising money for Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), who provide essential support to sailors, Royal Marines, veterans, and their families. Whether it’s during moments of crisis or times of everyday need, RNRMC is there for our Naval community.

Well, after a brief discussion via WhatsApp to which I originally said I no because of a lack of time off work, Louis Gardner and I have finally taken the plunge and signed up for the Race Across the UK in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. My employers, Perspective Financial Group, have kindly agreed to give me the full week as Volunteer Days, as have Louis’ employers, Open Skies Network!!! So in the dreary, UK Autumn, armed with a small budget and copious amounts of charm and guile, we will embark on a 4 night race from Dartmouth to Inverness, by whatever means necessary, completing a number of checkpoints and challenges along the way. Any support whether financial, or simple encouragement, will be gratefully received. We would also like to hear from you if you may have some spare floor space for a couple of old, bedraggled, charity fundraisers along the way…
