Countdown to the Race Across the UK: Fundraising Begins!
With zero steps taken but excitement in full swing, We’ve officially signed up for the Race Across the UK—a thrilling four‑day adventure from Edinburgh to Dartmouth (2–5 September 2025) in support of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).
Now, the real challenge begins: raising £3000 before setting off.
Why this matters
Every penny raised goes directly to supporting serving and veteran sailors, marines and their families.
By fundraising before the race begins, I’ll be carrying not just a backpack but also the support and hopes of every single donor. It turns a physical challenge into a collective mission.
RNRMC relies on our Ambition: funds generated from our effort to continue their crucial programmes—lasting support “for life” for service families. 💡 Fundraising Plan in Motion
Here’s our game‑plan to hit that £3,000 target:
- Launch my Funraisin page – automatically set up upon registration, where everyone can donate easily
- Host charity fundraising events – no better excuse to get together for events, with all proceeds going to RNRMC.
- Social media campaign – weekly updates, fundraising milestones and a countdown clock to keep momentum.

We're taking on Race Across the UK to support the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity!
This September, we’ll be racing from Edinburgh to Dartmouth - navigating only by public transport and our own two feet. No shortcuts, no map apps - just strategy, endurance, and determination!
But this challenge is about more than just the adventure. We're raising funds for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), who provide crucial support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. From hardship grants to mental health support, financial assistance to family welfare, RNRMC is there for those who serve or have served, when they need it most.
