We'll be taking on Race Across the UK to support the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity!
This year The Royal Navy Recovery Centre (RNRC) Hasler will undertake a number of challenges to raise money for the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC). All of our fundraising throughout this year will conclude with the Ultimate Race Across the UK this September. Two patients from RNRC Hasler will take part, working together to race from Scotland to Dartmouth over four days. Travelling the length of the UK, each team will be required to pass through checkpoints without the use of cars, planes, and map apps.
The Royal Navy Recovery Centre was established back in September 2009 and provides support for personnel with long-term conditions, injuries, and illnesses sustained during their careers. The men and women within Hasler receive expert medical help, physiotherapy, and career guidance, allowing some to resume their military careers, while others start a new life in the civilian world.
We at Hasler have taken it upon ourselves to give back. We owe a debt of gratitude to the staff and doctors for their continued support and dedication to our individual recoveries, but also to the RNRMC. The charity has committed resources and time to provide Hasler with a number of fantastic opportunities. For many of us, overcoming a long-term injury or illness has been incredibly tough, both physically and mentally. The road to recovery isn’t always linear, but access to opportunities funded by RNRMC has allowed us to enjoy the present and look forward to the future with renewed hope and strength. All of our recovery journeys here at Hasler are a testament to their commitment to our well-being and rehabilitation, and we are profoundly grateful for their continued support.
All donations will go towards projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. As well as towards military charities that care for the children, families, and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. We are grateful for all your support in reaching our fundraising target!
